High-Impact & Engagement consist of emergent programs that equip students to address the most pressing global problems of the current era in small high-touch cohorts with high impact aims. These programs provide an innovative approach to education, partnerships, and student empowerment while simultaneously having a positive impact on the technology workforce and ecosystem in Atlanta, the state of Georgia, and around the globe.

OMED Study Abroad: Global Immersion and Innovation program to South Africa and Namibia. The OMED Global Immersion and Innovation program aims to enhance student academic experiences through an expansion of global culturally immersive experiences and explorations that allows students to connect global practices with their academic STEM interests. This program serves as a Presidential commission initiative to address Georgia Tech’s commitment to the Task Force on Higher Education via the awarding of the Strada Beyond Completion Grant.

TILE: Technology and Innovation Learning Experience is a collaborative program that aims to Enhancing Student Success Through Hands-On Experience and Entrepreneurial Development. By combining a pioneering co-op and internship model with real-world entrepreneurial opportunities, TILE creates a pipeline of highly skilled graduates who are prepared to fuel the tech workforce.

AIDA: Data Projects and Initiatives supports student academic initiatives and data analysis, while strengthening graduate students and early career professionals data analytical and program/product development skills.

OMED’s Graduate Research and Fellowship program supports students interest and participation in on-going and emerging interdisciplinary research, teaching, and social innovation projects with faculty at Georgia Tech and partner institutions as well as city and state community partners.
