Job Summary 

This position serves as an assistant to OMED’s Corporate Relations Manager in conjunction with the OMED DEI Career Pathway  Graduate Assistant, and the Career Pathway Initiative (CPI).  

The holder of the position will provide promotional, administrative, and event support of assigned program(s). 

The candidate must have had a previous co-op or internship experience.

This position will interact, support, and assist on a consistent basis with the academic and administrative management and staff with a school or center and across campus, vendors, and sponsors.  

This position will not supervise any staff. This position will support the CRM. They will also support a Graduate Student, OMED, and OMED Career Pathways Program, all of which report to the director of OMED. 

Responsibilities 

  • Contribute to career-related projects and initiatives with OMED that directly impact underrepresented minority (URM) student populations at-large.   
  • Provide career readiness support and advising to students via OMED Career Pathways program 
  • Support OMED  3-week Career Immersion, Peer-I-Scope, WOCI, AAMI student cohorts with career readiness tools, career fair prep, peer mentoring and career prep workshops. 
  • Support DEI Career readiness class presentations, workshops, group advising, individual advising, and/or BSO and HSO student organization partnerships.  
  • Perform other duties as assigned.           

Salary range 

$15-$17 per hour 

Summer Stipend (if serving as a 3-week immersion peer coach)

$2500 plus housing
